Meet LA Vanguardia: The Latino innovators, instigators and power players breaking through barriers in Silicon Valley, who are taking the city’s most under-utilized and underserved underutilized buildings, making them sustainable, and turning their empty interiors into vibrant centers for community empowerment;
Humboldt Neighborhoods: Exploring the hidden gems of Humboldt’s community centers and cultural venues that are transforming lives and engaging new generations; and
City of San Jose: Bringing the city’s parks to life through programs like “Parks of San Jose,” that are changing the way parks are managed in the area and leading to a more active, healthy and equitable city.
In addition, the presentation will feature an exhibit case that will highlight the diverse range of spaces and ideas that have been developed as initiatives around the Bay Area, which are being adopted into the City of San Jose’s new master plan.
San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo will also hold a public meeting on the presentation and a panel discussion about the future of the City.
San Jose’s next mayor will make a decision about the fate of San Jose’s master plan by April.
