Kat Von D is heading back to Indiana.
The “LA Ink” star recently canceled her latest appointment at a renowned tattoo shop in Los Angeles after the latter’s owners spoke to the press about her.
“I had a polite conversation with the manager of Nice Kicks and the minute we broke the ice she told the local news on a recent episode of California Ink that Kat Von D ‘dumped’ them,” Kat told E! News. “That’s not true.”
The news station did speak to Travis Wolk, one of the owners of Nice Kicks tattoo shop, who said that Kat and her band, the Dead, were not scheduled to shoot a song there.
“They were in no way ‘dumped’ and we got some great publicity out of this,” he told E! News. “The real reason they’re not here anymore is they’re moving to Greenfield, Indiana.”
Kat says she is “ready to get back to Indiana” and has replaced her favorite tattoo shop with a small one in the small Indiana town.
“It’s been hard as hell since getting out of the limelight,” she wrote on her Instagram, which she shared with a photo of her new tattoo art. “Hoping for a little more privacy and happiness but until then, thanks for the memories from the many years in LA.”
