About 500 volunteers, including journalists, the Thai Navy Seals and the Malaysian Royal Navy, participated in a pilgrimage to Samui Island, Thailand , during the Eleventh Induction ceremony for the World Sikh Council

The event took place on February 1 at the Wat Pathum Thani temple in Phuket, Thailand . The members were inducted into the Council as a way to promote the values of equality, equality of opportunity, fundamental justice and the sanctity of life, India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, wrote in his memoirs in 1949.

The ‘Sikhist Pride

“Members were inducted in a ceremony that led them to deepen their religious values and build closer relationships with a large number of people in their community,” according to the World Sikh Council website. “This event helped arouse spirituality and strengthening the community as a whole. It also played a role in winning the respect of people and having a positive impact on many lives.”

The relevance of such a position is crucial now.

While all national teams are set to return to their country this week, Chinese national footballer Wu Lei may not return in time.

On January 26, Chinese football fans were stunned when the 24-year-old midfielder was ruled out of this year’s Copa America Centenario in the United States due to an injury.

There’s no official word on when the midfielder, who hails from Wuhan, Hubei province, suffered the injury, but one countryman described it as a “wake-up call.”

The Republic of China Football Association (ROCFA) also said Wu may retire from the game.

Chen Dong, vice-president of the Republic of China Football Association, told reporters that Wu Lei suffers from a muscle problem that left him “with no choice but to retire from the game.”

According to reports, when the injury occurred Wu said he took a dive from one teammate to another when he was feeling pressure, and some teammates then saw a chance to injure him.

Though Wu played for the China Senior team, he has an incredible value because the Chinese football association does not release player numbers. Wu hasn’t made his debut in the Chinese Super League yet, but it is likely he will play for Shandong Luneng, who lost at home to a lowly Leicester City in a Chinese Super League match last year.

Wu Lei’s phone number is (021) 879-841-2812, and we have officially forgotten about it.

The first Sikh World Cup, which was won by Malaysia in 1992, became popular due to the charisma of former Holland midfielder Ferenc Puskas, the most successful player in the history of the game. However, Puskas could not commit to the event as he was supporting his beloved Hungary.

Even though he was no longer in the game, Puskas remained in control of his career and ensured that his team played all their matches at home. As a result, that is where Malaysian referees are headquartered.

A gap in this European soccer culture created a step change in the sport of football in Asia.

And it seems that now, every nation in the World is looking to improve their technique, training methods and playing styles. Though a focus on Asian techniques and culture has thus far failed to produce results, pundits agree that the future of the game is in Asia.

In this tournament, people across the globe will be looking at if Asia’s current model can help shape a future champion.
